This South Carolina concrete lifting lifting project is in the Spartanburg area. As part of reconstructing I-85, the contractor was responsible for maintaining all pavement within the construction area. Over the duration of the multi-year project, there were multiple areas where slabs settled significantly. The contractor had to either lift or replace them until the area was fully reconstructed.

The Challenge
Because traffic was already limited, minimizing downtime was very important. The customer also wanted to minimize cost, as ultimately the repaired pavement would be completely removed and replaced.
The Solution
Grouting.
CJGeo mobilized multiple times to address areas of pavement failure as they occurred. All work was done with CJGrout 48NHL, which is designed for differential settlement correction of medium to heavy duty slabs.
Because CJGrout 48NHL cures within a few minutes of injection, all work was done at night, with slabs accepting traffic as soon as traffic control was pulled in each area.
