Factory Floor Lifting

Commercial Floor Polyurethane Grouting, Raleigh, NC

Problem:

Slab floor inside of commercial building settled, creating a trip hazard and deterioration at a joint in the floor. Floor slabs clicked and flexed with changes in loading from fork lifts.

Constraints:

Facility is used to manufacture sensitive electronics, so cleanliness and speed were important.

Solution:

High density polyurethane grouting was chosen as the most economical repair method for this project. Because foam jacking is a very clean process, it did not require any changes in the facility’s use.

Results:

Normal operations proceeded during the repair, which took about an hour. A total of 400 square feet of floor were stabilized using injection of NCFI high density polyurethane. The customer replaced the deteriorated floor tiles over the joint immediately after the polyurethane grouting was completed.
