Fire Station Floor Lift

Fire Station Floor, Baltimore, MD

Problem:

Slab bay floor inside of fire station near Baltimore, MD settled, causing the floor coating to deteriorate and crack. The settlement was extensive enough that it prevented water from completely draining to the floor drain system.

Solution:

Geotechnical polyurethane grouting for this slab foundation repair project. High density polyurethane is installed quickly and cures to a useable strength in seconds. Polyurethane grouting was selected because it allows immediate, complete use, of the treated areas.

Results:

CJGeo polyurethane grouting crew installed TerraThane geotechnical foam to raise the settled portion of the slab foundation back into place. The work was completed in a few hours. The customer was able to park their fire engine on the lifted floor as soon as the polyurethane grouting was completed.
